1
Damage Assessment
We perform a thorough assessment of every panel, structural component, sensor, and mounting bracket. Modern vehicles hide significant damage in crumple zones — we use measuring systems to find what the eye can't see.
-
2
Insurance Estimate & Approval
We write a detailed estimate and submit it directly to your insurance carrier. If hidden damage shows up during teardown, we file a supplement with photos. Most approvals come back in 24–72 hours.
-
3
Disassembly & Frame Inspection
Damaged panels come off, the frame and unibody are measured against factory specifications using a computerized system, and structural integrity is verified before repair begins.
-
4
Structural & Body Repair
Frame straightening (if needed), panel replacement or repair, welding to factory standards, sensor and electronics calibration. Industry-grade equipment, I-CAR-trained technicians.

How long does collision repair take?
Most collision repairs at Drive Auto Body take 5–10 business days. Light bumper or panel work can finish in 2–3 days. Severe structural or frame damage may take 2–4 weeks. We give every customer a written timeline at drop-off and update by text at every milestone.
Will my car drive the same after structural repair?
Yes — if the repair is done right. We measure the frame against factory specifications using a computerized system and document every reading. After repair, the frame, unibody, and crumple zones meet factory specs. The car drives, handles, and protects you the same as before.
Do you only use OEM (factory) parts?
We use OEM parts whenever your insurance approves them and on every newer vehicle by default. For older vehicles or budget repairs, we offer high-quality aftermarket and certified pre-owned (recycled OEM) parts as an option. You always approve the parts list before work begins.
What if hidden damage is found during repair?
We file a supplement with your insurance — photos, documentation, the works. Most carriers approve supplements within a few business days. You don't pay extra; the insurance covers the additional damage. This is why estimates can change between drop-off and final invoice.
Can I see my vehicle during the repair?
Yes. We invite customers to inspect the vehicle at major milestones — after disassembly, after structural repair, after paint, before delivery. We also send progress photos by text most days.
Do you handle insurance directly?
Yes. We bill your insurance directly. You file the initial claim with your carrier, give us the claim number, and we handle everything else — estimate writing, supplement negotiations, parts approvals, and final billing. You typically don't speak to your insurance again until your car is ready.
Do you offer rental car help?
If your insurance policy includes rental coverage, we coordinate the rental directly with Enterprise. Most customers are in a rental the same day they drop off. If you don't have rental coverage, we can still arrange a discounted rate.
